Goulash with large pieces of beef and vegetables

Snow Day Crockpot Stew

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds stew meat
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 2 medium onions, quartered
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  • 3 medium carrots
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 3 medium potatoes, quartered
  • 2 cups hot water or wine
  • 2 Tablespoons Tapioca (or flour or cornstarch)
  • 1 pound can of tomatoes

Directions

Place meat in pot and cover with rest of column one.  Mix column two ingredients well and pour over meat and vegetables in pot.  Cook 5-6 hours on high, or 12-15 hours on low.
